In Construction!Alicia

My kind and beautiful wife Alicia who has put up with me for nearly 11 years now. She has most of the honor of bringing up Philip and Richard to good little kids. These days, when some parents let their kinds run around screaming in restaurants and everywhere, it is the more rewarding to get compliments from the restaurant personnel for "how nice the kids are." What used to be expected is now exceptional.

Alicia is a living tape recorder too! She knows stenography, which sometimes comes handy. It is her secret language, if she needs one. For a while she joined in on the Morse code classes with me and Philip. The reason was to be able to help Philip at home with the code. Then I got a good Morse code program for the computer, and she decided that she no longer needed to learn it. I do not know if it was lucky for me or not. She was picking up a lot faster than I and would doubtless have had an Extra class ticket before I got my Advanced one, had she wanted to. She has also completed her studies for Medical Transcription.

Alica is very good at sewing her own clothes and the spaghetti & meat sauce has developed into an art form!

Honeymoon on Maui.

Regard this picture as "Before" and the one on top as "After" (10 years of marriage to me), and you realize how tough of a cookie Alicia is! No visible decay!

We do not get around to go out as often as we ought to, but when we do, we go to one of the best; Vine St Bar & Grill. Here we have enjoyed Anita O'Day and Mose Allison among others, and this time it is

Lawrence Lebo and her Big Little Band. Husband plays the base.

A month after I wrote this I heard on the radio that Vine St Bar & Grill apparently is no more. I guess it goes to show that superb music, REAL music, and REAL food is not as appreciated as it used to be, and as it ought to be if the audience had their wits with them. What has the world come to?

Here I am with the kids, on the way to a gypsy/pirate party!
